I am an interdisciplinary artist and researcher blending creativity and culture to drive narrative change
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have repeatedly found myself exploring the question of how design can be used as a tool for cultural preservation, whether in the form of an eco-crematorium allowing local Venetians to reclaim their city through death, or storm-resilient settlement planning that allows coastal Fijians to remain on their sacred ancestral lands. This desire to use design to solve social issues is what led me to leave the world of commercial architecture and start freelancing as a consultant, currently working as the Director of Youth Climate Collaborative (YCC)’s climate mental health programme and the Focal Point for the Global Shelter Cluster’s Recovery Community of Practice.
I strongly believe in the power of art in communicating the complexities of the climate crisis and recently curated and published 'Climate Courage', a 200+ page guided mental health journal incorporating artwork, poetry and guided meditations from 30+ creative youths around the world. I am also working with Re-Alliance to translate their technical research into illustrated guides for use by practitioners on the ground.
As co-lead of YCC's recently launched UK youth climate hub, I hope to convene key multidisciplinary organisations working to progress the country's climate agenda, strengthen knowledge-sharing and collaboration and champion creativity and culture as pillars for engaging more people in climate action, both on a national and international scale. I was a 2023 Aspen Institute Future Leader and an Emerging Leader at Anthropy's 2025 UK National Gathering. From June 2025, I will also be a BeVisioneers Fellow, sponsored by Mercedes Benz, to progress my own creative practice targeting waste in the South Asian Wedding Industry.
